Grain Merchandiser
CHS Member Cooperative in North Central Ohio
Seeking a talented Grain Merchandiser! A CHS member cooperative is excited to announce a new opening in merchandising that they wish to fill quickly. Located just an hour north of Columbus, Ohio, CHS is recruiting for a grain merchandiser to join the local member cooperative team!
Experiencing healthy growth and market share, this cooperative is well diversified in agricultural products and services throughout central Ohio.
This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the purchase, storage, handling, and marketing of grain transactions in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share, improve the efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
Position Details:
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative with a heavy focus on providing outstanding customer service
- Responsibilities include supervision, safety and maintenance, recordkeeping, merchandising, grain origination profitability and sales, and other duties as assigned by management
- Recordkeeping involves maintaining accurate records, including a consolidated daily position record and grain related records, and developing and maintaining a working knowledge of grain industry requirements
- Merchandising involves establishing and communicating a grain marketing policy and a company grain policy, and determining daily bids
- The grain merchandiser will develop and implement programs and merchandising tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience in grain marketing
- Ability to work marketing software and knowledge of agriculture and cooperatives
- Possess excellent communication and sales skills
