Chief Financial Officer
CHS Member Cooperative in North Central Ohio
CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large, progressive member cooperative in North Central Ohio, providing selection services to hire for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the local cooperative team.
Cooperative Overview:
This is a large agricultural cooperative that is diversified in Grain, Feed, Agronomy, Energy and Retail and is experiencing healthy growth. The business has good leadership and key staff in place with low turnover.
Position Overview:
This position is open due to an upcoming retirement. The primary responsibilities include analyzing, reviewing, and setting benchmarks for performance, analyzing operations for efficiency improvements, setting budget goals, and evaluating opportunities. Working closely with various business units, this role will be part of strategic management to ensure healthy growth.
Qualifications:
- Well experienced in handling financial analysis of multiple locations and divisions.
- A minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience in financial accounting focusing in agricultural industry segments, controller, CFO and CPA backgrounds are helpful.
- Strong experience in accounting software with ability to train others if needed.
- Good understanding of the cooperative business model including patronage and serving patron-owners.
