The purpose of the program is to provide a vehicle for member organizations to introduce a young or emerging leader to the ARA Annual Conference and Expo.
Outstanding candidates include individuals who have not previously attended and perform at a high level deserving of special recognition.
The conference provides an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers, educational sessions, exclusive networking events and a first-class trade show.
Through attendance at the conference, future leaders gain the understanding of forces shaping the policy and regulatory environment and how ARA acts on behalf of ag retailers regarding key issues.
Nominate candidates by completing a four question online application no later than October 3, 2014.
Up to 10 qualified applicants will be accepted, based on when the nominations are received. ARA will notify you and the Rising Star candidate by October 8 of their acceptance into the program.
Once accepted, ARA will send the Rising Stars Class of 2014 an invitation to a special reception on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 2, and dinner Tuesday night at Antoine's Restaurant. They will be joined by ARA staff and alumni from Rising Stars, Leadership At Its Best and other ARA programs.
Rising Stars will be recognized in the ARA conference program and receive a Rising Star badge ribbon.
