Agronomy Sales Account Manager

CHS Aligned Solutions is providing Selection Services for a local member cooperative to hire for an Agronomy Sales Account Manager near Celina in west-central Ohio.This position is designed as a senior agronomy sales role and will report into the Agronomy Division Manager.

This position is open due to healthy growth of business and previous, applicable experience is required. The position will include doing farm calls, consulting and selling services and doing demonstrations in plot trials. Most importantly, this role is focused around customer service and building a strong relationship with customers.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Complete farm sales calls, on average 3-5 per day with at least one of these being a prospective account.
Participate in demonstration plots; conduct field trials on seed, fertilizer and chemicals by side-by-side trials.
Develop and conduct grower meetings to update customers on current agronomic issues and advances.
Sell input products, fertilizer, chemicals, seed, lime, services such as Precision Farming Technology, custom application, etc.
Perform various agronomic services for customers and keep updated records in soil sampling and crop scouting.
Follow up on customer complaints. Oversee that all services are being done in a professional and acceptable manner.
Verify products ordered and loaded from warehouse have work orders before loading for delivery.
Maintain and clean the company equipment including work truck in a professional manner.
Must be able to work long hours seasonally, including weekends as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural with at least five years of professional agricultural sales experience
Experience with the Agrimine Data System is helpful but not required
Must have excellent communication skills with a personality to mentor and foster relationships
Must physically be able to lift 50 pounds
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
