The Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturists (CAPA) has released its 2016 statement on Honey Bee Colony Losses in Canada.
The national percentage of colony winter loss was 16.8 percent, with individual provincial percentage ranging from 7.7 percent to 24.4 percent. The overall national colony loss reported in 2016 is one of the lowest losses since 2006-2007.
