Ohio EPA's Encouraging Environmental Excellence (E3) 2018 Recognition Program

Each year Ohio EPA recognizes organizations in the Buckeye State for exceptional achievements in environmental stewardship through the Ohio EPA's Encouraging Environmental Excellence (E3) Program. Any business, industry, trade association, professional organization or local government of Ohio can be recognized for their commitment to environmental excellence. This year, eighteen (18) organizations received an E3 Award from Director Craig Butler at Ohio EPA’s Sustainability Conference on October 3, 2017.

In preparation for the 2018 awards cycle, DEFA is offering a free webinar on October 18, 2017 titled Encouraging Environmental Excellence: The 2018 Silver, Gold and Platinum Level Application Process. The webinar will discuss how to apply for a 2018 E3 award, including:

  • How to put together a successful online application and steps organizations can take to apply.
  • Types of information Ohio EPA needs to complete the review process.
  • Successful components of past applications and requirements for each level.
  • How DEFA can help organizations complete successful applications.
  • Examples of organizations who have received recognition under the E3 program.

The application deadline for the 2018 awards is November 17, 2017.
