SBA Office of Advocacy Seeks Input from Small Businesses at Ohio Regional Regulatory Roundtables

The U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of Advocacy, which acts as an independent small business watchdog within the federal government, will be hosting Ohio Regulatory Reform Roundtables in Cincinnati and Cleveland in August. The purpose of these roundtables is to help identify specific regulatory barriers to small business growth through first-hand testimony and thereby assist federal agencies in complying with the President’s directive to eliminate burdensome regulations.

Ohio small business input is needed and will be used by SBA’s Office of Advocacy to pursue reforms that will benefit small business. We also expect representatives of federal agencies and congressional offices to attend the roundtables.

On Tuesday, August 1 in Cincinnati, the office will host a roundtable discussion from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency. House Small Business Committee Chairman Congressman Chabot is expected to attend. More information on this event can be found here.

The second roundtable will be in Cleveland on Thursday, August 3 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Hilton Downtown. More information on this event can be found here.

We also have established an online form for small businesses that may not be able to attend, but have regulatory issues they’d like share. For more information on all regulatory reform activity, visit the SBO's webpage.
