Ohio FFA Foundation has Unsponsored Programs for the 89th Ohio FFA State Convention!

Help the Ohio FFA Foundatoin provide outstanding opportunities for FFA members by sponsoring one of these award areas. Today's FFA members are the pipeline of talent for the agricultural industry. Help develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Contact Jessica Parrish (jparrish@ohioffa.org) for more information or call the FFA Center at (614) 299-1332. As a sponsor, your name (and/or your company logo) will be shared on screen and in the convention program during the 89th Ohio FFA State Convention. You will also be invited to our annual Leadership Luncheon at Convention to meet the finalists. 

Career Development Events are contests that students compete in to demonstrate their knowledge about agriculturally related careers. More than 4,000 students compete annually. Career Development Events can be sponsored for $1,500. The following programs are unsponsored for 2017:

  • Agricultural Mechanics Skills 
  • Animal Management
  • Equine Management
  • Forestry
  • Grain Merchandising
  • Grooming 1
  • Grooming 2
  • Milk Quality & Products
  • Outdoor Power
  • Parliamentary Procedure - Novice
  • Parliamentary Procedure - Advanced
  • Veterinary Science 
  • Wildlife Management

Proficiency Awards are areas in which students are recognized for their work-based learning experience, also known as SAEs (Supervised Agricultural Experiences). More than 460 applications were received and the top four students in each area will interview at State Convention. Proficiency Awards can be sponsored for $2,000. The following areas are unsponsored for 2017:

  • Diversified Crop Production (Placement)
  • Equine Science (Placement & Entrepreneurship)
  • Food Science & Technology

  • Speciality Animal Production
  • Specialty Crop Production
