Grain Division Manager

OABA Member Company in Ohio

An OABA member company is confidentially seeking a Grain Division Manager to be based in Ohio.

This person will be responsible for the origination and merchandising of grain, management of inventory, developing and maintaining producer relationships, and marketing development.

It is imperative that this person effectively communicate with all departments including operations, commodity merchandising, and accounting to drive the execution of the Company's business goals.

Essential skills:

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of grain markets, logistics, trade concepts and ability to manage credit risks.
  • Proven solid work ethic and ability to work independently while still working effectively within a team
  • Establish direction by communicating a vision and the necessary strategy for achieving such vision
  • Motivate and lead employees to overcome obstacles by delegating the workload which supports employee growth
  • Mentor and coach employees by establishing clear communications and goals

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or business-related field or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience in commodity markets
  • Ability to successfully mentor, foster and coach direct reports
  • High degree of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Commitment to company values
