Agronomy Sales & Marketing Programs Manager
CHS Member Cooperative in Northern Iowa
CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large member cooperative in northern Iowa to provide Selection Services in hiring an Agronomy Sales Manager. This position will be located in north central Iowa and will involve frequent day-travel to various branch locations across northern Iowa and southern Minnesota.
Timeline: The team is looking to move quickly and hire this role with the start-time before spring planting.
Summary: The purpose of this role is to develop, implement and lead sales and marketing programs to increase customer service and grow partnerships. This will be done by working with the COO, Agronomy Manager and Agronomy teams and mentoring team members in agronomy sales. This position will be a hybrid role between sales, coaching, marketing and agronomic program development. The role is considered a senior level role and will report into the Agronomy Division Manager.
Additional Position Responsibilities:
- Review current agronomy sales team performance. Coach and mentor to maximize both technical agronomy knowledge and customer service skills
- Work with Agronomy Division Manager to develop new, value-added marketing programs
- Collaborate with peers to establish sales growth plans with customer-service focus
- Invest time with sales team to view additional opportunities through cross-selling and working closer with all retail divisions
- Support Agronomy team in other areas throughout the year through trainings and development opportunities
Requirements:
- 4 year degree in Agronomy, Ag-related degree or equivalent experience in Agriculture
- 5+ years of Agronomy Management experience
- Must be up-to-date on agricultural technologies including marketing and sales programs
- Certified Crop Advisor certification (or ability to obtain)
- Must have clean driving record and pass a background check
- Experience with Precision Ag and ability to recommend applicable programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to ability to follow-up
